The first game of the season is always a learning one. Neither team will be where they are at the end of the season and both are able to finally assess where they currently are.

For the Lincoln-Way West Warriors, there is a little more figuring out to do. For the Providence Celtics, a 56-34 season-opening win in the WJOL Tournament over their crosstown foe from West has them confident one game in, but they still have long-term goals in their minds.
