It was not the end result they were looking for, but there were plenty of positive signs to build on. The Porters were itching to come out and show improvement in the season opener, keeping the game close into the second half before visiting Grandville from Michigan kept making big plays to pull away for a 47-24 victory on Friday, Aug. 30, in Lockport.
