When the time came to pick a program to apply to, Liz Srbeny knew she wanted to live somewhere in Africa.

The Homer Glen resident had already had the experience of teaching English in Chile for a year under her belt and wanted to try something different. She decided to apply to the Peace Corps, getting accepted to be a science teacher in Cameroon, a country in Central Africa.
