Dellwood Tire & Auto Repair, located at 616 State St. in Lockport, held a “Go Pink for Gabby!” fundraiser. Tom Evans, a manager there, and his wife, Dorothy, the nurse at Walsh School, helped organize the event.
The auto repair business was selling “Go Pink for Gabby!” wristbands at its fundraiser for the Matlak family.

Area residents flocked to Dellwood Tire & Auto Repair in Lockport recently to get an oil change, but not because their cars were in dire need; instead, they were participating in a good cause.

Walsh School nurse Dorothy Evans assists a child in the early childhood program who has special needs. Evans spoke highly of her role at Walsh. She also spoke highly of “a kind little girl” who would always help her and the other students: 4-year-old Gabby Matlak.
