Emma Lasko, 7, of Homer Glen, drew a colorful grid filled with hearts, stars and other shapes for her winning entry in the ages 6-8 category of the annual contest.
Cooper Black, an 11-year-old Homer Glen resident, won the ages 9-12 category with a drawing of a baseball-themed heart.
The Homer Horizon received a number of bright and well-drawn valentines from children around the community that will be given to nearby veterans.
