Young Kalista Andresen can walk and trot a horse like a professional at the mere age of 9.

Her inherent love for these stately animals aside, what helped her flourish was the staff at Cedar Stables, a family-run horse farm in Homer Glen. Kalista’s mother, Claire, said they have seen the benefits of going to a stable that is family operated.
