Some things are universally supported, such as veterans, dogs and spending time with friends.

On Jan. 19, Lockport American Legion Post 18 hosted an event combining all of the above with the K9s for Veterans country dance, Kick Up the Dust. Food, music, raffles and more added to the fun-filled evening, which served as a fundraiser for K9s for Veterans, a nonprofit organization with a mission to help veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder with the help of trained service dogs.
