The operator of a Homer Glen tobacco store allegedly defrauded the State of Illinois out of more than $400,000 in sales taxes, according to a press release issued Sept. 26 by the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
Mazen M. Nassar, 38, of Orland Park, was charged with sales tax evasion of over $100,000, money laundering of over $10,000, wire fraud and filing a fraudulent sales tax return, all of which are felonies, according to the press release.
