When Will County Sheriff Mike Kelley received word he had been named Sheriff of the Year by the Illinois State Crime Commission, he was not surprised.

Instead, the 29-year veteran of the Will County Sheriff’s said he knows how hard the men and women in his department work, and they deserve all the credit for his
award.
