Police Reports: Duo allegedly attempt theft at Jewel-Osco

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Jewel-Osco at 14200 S. Bell Road on Jan. 14 at approximately 1:45 p.m. regarding an alleged retail theft, according to police. An assistant store manager stated that two employees observed two women walking out of the store with shopping carts full of laundry detergent and one bag of oranges. The items were reportedly valued at $571.69. The manager and two employees took chase after the women. One of the women was described by police as white with blond hair, having a thin build, about 5’5” and around 30-years-old.
