Pictured is the railroad depot back in 1978. The building will move to Konow’s farm in Homer Glen at a date that is to be determined.

A preservationist group’s effort to save the New Lenox railroad depot from the wrecking ball appears to have succeeded, with the help of a Homer Glen farmer whose family’s property is already home to one building saved from being lost to history.
