Robert Pierson’s other great passion in life was raising and training hunting dogs. He had grown up with dogs as a child and enjoyed the companionship with the animals, according to his daughter, Wendy.

A Homer Township resident described as a dedicated family man, lover of dogs and giant in the Chicago labor community died last month at his home. Robert W. Pierson, know to most of the thousands of people who knew him as Bob, was 75.
