There is something timeless about a good summer festival. The carnival, the fireworks, the parade — it all makes for a traditional American staple this time of year. A local community festival like this may not be the grandest or most ornate, but it is one a hometown can call its own, a chance when we can walk around and see familiar faces on a warm, comfortable evening.
