A bat trapped July 6 by a Homer Glen man near the garage of his home in the 13000 block of West Little Creek Drive tested positive for rabies, according to a press release issued July 8 by the Will County Health Department. A second bat from the same garage was also discovered July 9 that tested positive for rabies.

The latest cases are reportedly the fourth and fifth rabid bats discovered in Will County so far this year.
