Six people were injured after a bus and vehicle collided Thursday, April 28, near the intersection of Victoria Crossing Drive and Cedar Road in Lockport.

Roughly 40 students were on a Homer Community Consolidated School District 33C bus when the crash occurred, according to Lockport Deputy Police Chief Ron Huff. The bus was on Victoria Crossing Drive at approximately 2:20 p.m., when a vehicle failed to yield and pulled out in front of the bus, Huff said.

The bus reportedly then struck the car and went into the ditch.
