That’s because Megan Picard and Patrick Williams have created Reign Allstar Cheer and Tumbling, a new business dedicated to cheerleading and tumbling in their own family-friendly way.  

The duo has found quick success with the undertaking, as they had three teams of cheerleaders all finish in first place at the Holiday Classic in DeKalb on Dec. 6 and 7 — the business’ first competition.

Homer Glen, a magical vacation destination? Absolutely, said David Swanson. 

Swanson, a Lockport resident with cerebral palsy, is among the throngs of campers who, for 68 years, have called Shady Oaks Camp in Homer Glen their summer “home away from home.”

A safari-themed open house was held July 19, featuring food, entertainment and a special performance by Shady Oaks campers and staff.

After three separate hearings, the Homer Township Officers Electoral Board has made a decision: Marcela Cuevas, a candidate for clerk in the upcoming April 4, 2017 Consolidated Election, is off the ballot. The board met for the third time Thursday, Jan. 19 to announce its decision to sustain the objection filed by Renea Wojnowski, a resident of Lockport and Homer Township, that stated Cuevas was not eligible to run for the office of Township clerk at the time she filed her candidacy paperwork.
